K2
Francis's ultimate dream is to climb K2. K2 is the second highest mountain in the world at 8611 meters. K2 to many people presents more of a challenge then Everest and almost any other mountain in the world. K2 is a climb that very few people try and even fewer succeed. To summit K2 Francis will have had to survive 'The Death Zone' (above 8000 meters), frequent avalanches, rock falls and all the perils that any 8000meter mountain presents. This dream was born whilst Francis was in hospital in 2003-4. It has since led him all around the U.K and into the Himalayas. Francis’ age has driven him on to aim to climb K2 in 2012. If he succeeds he will become they youngest person ever to climb K2 (current youngest 21).
